US Election 2020: The voters have decided. Biden is officially the elected leader of the USA

Joe Biden was formally elected US President. So far, he has received 302 votes of voters on Monday, thus confirming the results of the November elections. He needed more than 270 votes to win.

Voting by voters is usually considered a formality, but this year it is being monitored because current President Donald Trump has repeatedly questioned the election results.

Decisions were decided by voters in California, who voted after 23:00 CET. All that remains is to vote in Hawaii, and if it turns out as expected, Biden will get a clear advantage of 306 votes. Trump gets 232 votes!

Voting began in the north-eastern United States, and the second round of indirect presidential elections has already taken place in Indiana or Tennessee. In some states, it is accompanied by emergency measures due to threats addressed to electoral officials or politicians; in Michigan, offices in the local parliament have remained closed for security reasons.

Under normal circumstances, voting by the electorate is considered a formality to which the general public does not pay much attention. This year, however, it is different, as President Donald Trump refuses to acknowledge his defeat and tries to challenge it in various ways. His adviser, Stephen Miller, told Fox News on Monday that "alternative" voters will vote in key states.

However, no surprises are expected in terms of the overall result. All US states and the federal district of the capital Washington have nominated voters for the candidate who received the most votes, a total of 306 "Biden" and 232 "Trump" voted. Most states require their constituents to vote for the winners of the "people's vote".

Biden will have the White House disinfected first

The result of Monday's trial will not be officially announced in Congress until January 6, but it should be clear during the night on Tuesday. The team of the incoming President Biden announced a speech on this topic on Monday evening (in the morning of CET).

Texas, plus, 17 large US states opposed Biden.

The Supreme Court will decide

Trump recently said that if voters confirm Biden's victory, he will not prevent the new administration from taking office.

So far, however, he does not indicate that he is going to acknowledge his defeat; on the contrary, there is speculation that the White House chief and his allies are preparing a "final revival" in the announcement of results in Congress. "It is not over. We're rolling forward, "Trump stated in a televised interview on Sunday, more than some weeks after the leading correspondence declared that Joe Biden will be the elected president.
