Biden News Conference Today stated, the measure forced tens of millions of employees to get vaccinated against Covid-19 before January 4 or undergo weekly tests since then and provided for fines of almost $ 14,000 for each case of violation for firms that did not comply.

Announced in September by Joe Biden, the initiative was adopted this week by the government and immediately challenged in court, particularly by the southern state of Texas, who’s Trumpist and Republican governor opposes any mandatory immunization to fight the pandemic.

Biden News Conference Today reported, the federal court of appeals of Texas ruled today that the plaintiffs had "given arguments suggesting that there are serious constitutional and procedural problems" with the Government's text and, consequently, "suspended" the measure pending its examination on the merits.

"We will be able to challenge Joe Biden's unconstitutional abuse of power in court," Conservative Texas Governor Greg Abbott tweeted after hearing the decision.

The judicial suspension represents a major setback for Biden, who had just achieved a major legislative victory with the adoption yesterday in Congress of his infrastructure investment plan.

The new requirements of the vaccination campaign were intended to reach some 84 million workers in large and medium-sized companies, according to the White House & Biden News Conference Today, although it is not clear how many of them were not yet immunized.
